Project Manager – Odoo ERP Implementation

Toolkit is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage the successful end-to-end implementation of the Odoo ERP platform across multiple business functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong ERP project management expertise and a CPA qualification, enabling them to bridge the gap between finance/accounting operations and technical implementation. This is a strategic role, requiring a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can manage stakeholders, align business goals with system capabilities, and ensure timely project delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
* Lead and oversee all phases of the Odoo ERP implementation lifecycle (gap analysis, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closing).
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk assessments.
* Manage cross-functional project teams (internal and external stakeholders, developers, consultants).
* Monitor project progress, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
* Implement change management strategies and training plans to ensure smooth adoption.
ERP Implementation & Functional Expertise:
* Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
* Translate business requirements (especially in accounting, finance, inventory, purchase and sales) into functional specifications for Odoo modules.
* Assist with the configuration and testing of Odoo modules (Finance, Sales, Inventory, Procurement, CRM, HR, etc.).
* Coordinate data migration activities, ensuring integrity and accuracy of legacy data.
* Oversee system integration with third-party applications (payment gateways, banking, e-commerce, etc.).
Finance & Accounting Focus (CPA Role):
* Leverage CPA expertise to lead the implementation of the Odoo Accounting module, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and tax regulations.
* Validate accounting workflows, chart of accounts, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
* Provide advisory on financial process optimization through automation and ERP capabilities.
* Act as a liaison between finance teams and developers to ensure proper configuration of finance-related features.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels (executives, department heads, end users).
* Collaborate with third-party vendors for integration and technical development and support.
* Facilitate project status meetings, prepare reports, and present to senior leadership.
* Quality Assurance & Support:
* Define and oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and training sessions.
* Ensure system performance and user experience meet quality standards.
* Post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS
Must-Have:
* Proven experience managing end-to-end ERP implementations, preferably with Odoo.
* Professional certification in accounting (CPA or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
* Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience in ERP or IT systems.
* Familiarity with business processes across finance, inventory, sales, CRM, and HR.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
* Odoo functional certification.
* Experience working in consulting environments or software/tech companies.
* Agile or Scrum certification (PMI-ACP, CSM, etc.).
* Experience with API integrations and data migration tools.
