What You'll Do in the Role

Summary

We are hiring a Senior Shopify App Developer to own the end-to end lifecycle of our Shopify apps. This is not a theme or Liquid customisation role. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining production grade apps that connect Shopify order data with our ERP via internal APIs, as well as developing Shopify frontend extensions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain custom Shopify apps (embedded/admin) with , Remix, Express.
  • Implement OAuth flows, token storage, and secure webhook handling.
  • Work with Shopify Admin APIs (GraphQL & REST) to handle order/customer/product data.
  • Create and deploy Shopify frontend extensions (Checkout UI, Customer Account UI, Theme App Extensions).
  • Model schemas and manage persistence using Prisma + SQL Server.
  • Own the full app lifecycle: deployments, Partner Console installs, versioning, onboarding, troubleshooting.
  • Ensure apps run reliably across multiple stores and themes.
  • Stay current with Shopify developer updates and adapt apps accordingly.

Skills /Qualifications

Core Skills (Must-Have)

  • 5+ years full-stack development, 3+ years Shopify app dev.
  • , Remix, Express.
  • React + Polaris UI, App Bridge.
  • Shopify Admin APIs (GraphQL/REST).
  • OAuth flows, webhooks (secure/HMAC validation).
  • Prisma (schema modelling, migrations, queries).
  • SQL Server (our environment; other SQL experience acceptable if Prisma based).
  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.).

Nice to have

  • Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
  • ERP or business system integration experience.
  • Shopify Partner/Developer certification.
