Purchasing Import and Export Staff is responsible for coordinating and managing all international shipment, activities, ensuring compliance with BOC regulations, optimizing logistics processes and maintaining accurate documentation for the smooth movement of goods across borders. Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal departments to ensure cost effective and timely delivery.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Import-Export Management, Business Administration, Logistics Management or any related field(s);
- Required 1-3 years relevant experience in IMPEX, logistics or supply chain;
- Experience with customs, freight forwarding, and trade documentation preferred;
- Willing to start ASAP.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Import & Export Documentation - prepare and process complete import/export documents and ensure all documents comply with customs regulations and client requirements, monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and maintain updated records.
- Coordination & Communication - Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines. Follow-up on shipping schedules, booking confirmations and cargo status; Liaise with internal departments regarding shipment details and requirements.
- Customs Compliance - ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations. Process Import/Export Permits, Certifications and Clearances as required by Government agencies. Submit accurate declarations and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Shipment Monitoring - track shipment status from origin to arrival/delivery. Handle any issues related to delays, document discrepancies, or customs queries. And maintain updated shipment logs and reports.
- Cost & Supplier Management - request and evaluate freight quotations from forwarders. Monitor freight, duties, taxes and other logistics costs and ensure cost-efficiency without compromising quality or compliance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
- Familiarity with ODOO and shipping documents.
- Strong verbal, written communication and coordination skills.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Responsible, honest, organized, presentable, and team player
- Detail-oriented, organized and deadline-driven.
