Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate and direct the field crew in rockworks and aggregate handling (rock placement, revetments, armour‑stone).
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and scope of works; allocate manpower, equipment (cranes, barges, excavators, rock hoppers) and materials to meet production targets.
- Inspect incoming rock/material quality, manage stockpiles, monitor progress and track tonnages placed; report daily to supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environment (SHE) and marine‑work safety requirements; conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, hand‑overs.
- Coordinate with marine operations team, barges, tugs, dive teams and subcontractors; identify issues (weather, equipment breakdown, marine conditions) and implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Technical certificate or diploma in Civil Engineering, Marine Works, Construction or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3‑7 years of experience in rockworks or marine civil construction, including 1‑2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
- Solid understanding of rock armour placement methods, heavy equipment operations in a marine environment; ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication and crew‑management skills; good physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in marine/coastal conditions.
- Knowledge of safety & environmental regulations in marine/civil works; day‑shift availability and willingness to extend hours when needed.
Working Conditions
- Primarily daytime hours; may extend when project demands require.
- Site environment is outdoor, exposed to marine/coastal weather, heavy equipment, barges and floating platforms.
- Use of PPE (helmet, safety boots, life‑vest, etc.) and adherence to marine safety & environmental regulations required.
- Collaboration with off‑site support (office, logistics, procurement) as needed.
