Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Officer, Environment, Health and Safety

What are the Job Responsibilities?

l Consolidate, manage, and synthesize data points and performance metrics related to occupational safety, health, and environment including, but not limited to, incident rates, loss time incidences, water and energy usage ratios, and regulatory compliance as prescribed by the Local Government Unit and executive agencies and branches including but not limited to Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Fire protection (BFP), etc.

l Create strategies and action plans relevant to occupational safety, health, and environment, and monitor implementation of such action plans; and coordinate such action plans to Department Heads and/or their authorized representatives;

l Champion behavioural-based safety, and conduct necessary and relevant training programs related to increasing awareness, continuous improvements, and enforcing policies related to occupational safety, health, and environment;

l Conduct investigations on violations and incidences related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and prepare reports within the prescribed timelines or as needed

l Coordinate with Department Heads in implementing policies and internal memorandum related to occupational safety, health, and environment; and alignment with updates on implemented policies and standards related but not limited to EHS Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC;

l Form part of the Internal Audit team and ensure compliance on, established management systems, including but not limited to, Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO OHSMS), ISO EMS), ISO 9001 (QMS), HACCP, HALAL, FSSC

l Manage allocation, disbursement, purchasing and liquidation of budget for programs related to occupational safety, health, and environment;

l Provide consultation, coaching and mentoring on items related to occupational safety, health, and environment;

l Represent the organization, as needed, in functional congregations, especially in liaising with the Corporate EHS, and other EHS Engineers from different URC Plants;

l Represent the organization, as needed, in dialogues and partnership activities with the Local Government Units and other executive branches on items related to occupational safety, health, and environment

l Manage, implement and lead execution of programs and processes for emergency preparedness, pollution control, disaster risk management, pandemic or epidemic business continuity plan, and other relevant function;

l Assumes the role of Plant Pollution Control Officer in the absence of designated PCO.

l Perform other tasks and functions as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.

What are the Qualifications?

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of local safety laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Incident investigation and reporting
• Training and presentation skills
• Willing to assign in Paknaan Mandaue Cebu
