About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer III to join our dynamic team at Phil. Rigid Construction Corporation in Tayud Consolacion Cebu. As a full-time Safety Officer III, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our construction projects, playing a crucial role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and programs to prevent accidents and injuries on construction sites
  2. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  3. Providing safety training and education to all employees to promote a culture of safety awareness
  4. Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  5. Ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
  6. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety performance and incidents

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  2. A thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices relevant to the construction industry
  3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  4. Proficiency in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation
  5. Possession of certifications such as COSH, LCM, HIRAC, or other relevant safety and health trainings is highly preferred.
