Job Description:
- Performs the monitoring and submission of compliances on general labor standards and occupational safety and health standards of SMHC and some subsidiaries;
- Performs the monitoring of subsidiaries and their contractor's compliance to general labor standards and occupational safety and health standards;
- Requests certificate from various agencies for compliance purposes;
- Coordinates with the data privacy council and assist the data privacy officer in monitoring and reporting HR compliances with data privacy law;
- Coordinates with safety council to communicate and evaluate health and safety issues within SMC, assist in continuous improvement of health and safety programs and support and strengthens SMC safety programs;
- Conduct training / orientation on Code of Conduct to newly hired employee; re-orientation on Code of Conduct when necessary;
- Coordinates the conduct of mandatory orientation on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) to SMHC employees;
- Performs monitoring of employees' attendance and as well as the submission of consolidated report on tardiness, absences, undertime and AWOP to their immediate superior for proper processing of disciplinary actions against erring employees;
- Assist the Immediate Superior on the processing of disciplinary actions (end-to-end employee cases, notices and memoranda).
- Coordinates with Corporate Human Resources Labor Relations Unit on submission of SMC Infrastructure and subsidiaries labor relations related reports;
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Behavioral Science, Psychology, or Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management.
- With three years' experience as Labor Relations Assistant or Employee Relations Assistant.
- Possesses basic or foundation knowledge and understanding of general labor standards, labor relations unionism, collective bargaining negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
- Possesses intermediate to thorough ability to write correspondents or letters requiring technical writing skills on matters pertaining to the abovementioned subject matters, identify the safety health and environmental hazards, determine appropriate control measures and develop and implement OSH policies and programs, conduct safety audit safety program audit.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skill.
