Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the accounting operations of our construction and Agri-engineering company. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting overall accounting activities. The ideal candidate has a solid background in construction accounting and can manage multiple projects, tight deadlines, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Oversee project-based accounting, including job cost tracking, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
  • Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for the projects
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and audit requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers to monitor project costs, margins, and cash flow
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting staff
  • Support internal and external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and tax authorities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certification (CPA preferred)
  • 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a construction and Agri-engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-project accounting
  • Knowledge of contract accounting and claims management
  • Familiarity with local tax laws and construction industry regulations
