The Accounting Manager ensures effective financial management across Quicklean's operations through accurate accounting processes, timely BIR compliance, branch audits, and management reporting. The role demands strong technical accounting capability, analytical thinking, and the ability to work closely with the owner and operations team.

A. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, expense monitoring).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain updated books and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.

B. BIR & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and file all BIR reportorial requirements:
  • VAT returns (2550M/2550Q)
  • Withholding taxes (1601-EQ, 1601-FQ)
  • Quarterly Income Tax (1701Q/1702Q)
  • Annual Information Returns
  • SLSP, alphalists, and other regulatory submissions
  • Ensure strict adherence to government deadlines and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate with external accountants for tax audit matters when necessary.

C. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Conduct branch audits to validate cash handling, inventory, and sales reports.
  • Identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and implement control measures.
  • Review branch financial practices and align them with company standards.

D. Management Reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports including:
  • Sales performance
  • Expense tracking
  • Budget variance analysis
  • Cash flow projections
  • Provide insights to the owner for decision-making and operational improvement.

E. Coordination & Leadership

  • Collaborate with branch teams, operations, and management to ensure smooth financial processes.
  • Guide accounting staff (if any) and help strengthen the department's systems and workflow.
  • Support business expansion activities (new branches, new processes, improvements).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
  • CPA is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years accounting experience (general accounting or audit).
  • Strong background in BIR compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in multi-branch or retail/laundromat/hospitality operations preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and good stakeholder management.
  • Willing to visit branches as part of audit responsibility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php50, Php60,000.00 per month
