Job Description

Responsible for the proper handling of merchandise to avoid damage and spoilage and that, proper measures are taken to prevent pilferage and shrinkage. Also ensures the accuracy in the documentation of all merchandise on hand.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. RECEIVING

· Ensures that all items that come in and out of the receiving area are properly accounted for.

· Ensures accuracy in the documentation of merchandise received and released by the department.

· Ensures the proper handling of merchandise to avoid damage or spoilage.

· Ensure that proper measures are taken to prevent pilferage and shrinkage.

· Checks on the spot delivery vans for any left out items.

· Ensures proper maintenance of receiving equipment.

  1. WAREHOUSE INVENTORY

· Gives timely feedback to the Store Manager and Receiving Supervisor regarding the status of stocks on hand.

· Assists the Receiving Supervisor in ensuring that security and proper handling procedures are in place to deter pilferage and shrinkage.

· Ensures the accuracy in the documentation of all merchandise on hand.

· Observes the "first in, first out" policy on items in the stockroom.

  1. HOUSEKEEPING

· Assists the Receiving Supervisor in ensuring that good housekeeping and proper sanitation are practiced in the work areas at all times.

· Handles scrap sales at best possible and negotiable prices. 4. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

· Supervises and ensures the training of all personnel in the receiving area.

· Assists the Receiving Supervisor in the proper implementation of Offenses Subject to Disciplinary Action (OSDA) and company rules to all direct reports. 5. REPORTORIAL DUTIES

· Prepares all the reports; delivery and discrepancy report, codes, summary of RTV by reason, stacking level of BO and RTV, next day invoices, unserved or rejected deliveries, applied and unapplied RTV (including free goods), and wholesale transactions.

  1. OTHERS

· Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time.

Job Qualifications

Must possess at least an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in any field​

Preferably with at least 1 year experience as Supervisor specializing in warehouse management or its equivalent​

Must have above average communication and leadership skills​

Must be computer literate
