About the role
As a Safety Officer II at Phil. Rigid Construction Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and contractors on construction sites located in Cebu. This full-time position is vital in supporting our commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all our operations.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Develop, implement and monitor safety policies, procedures and training programs
- Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Provide safety guidance and training to employees and contractors
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation
- Maintain detailed records and documentation related to safety performance
- Participate in safety committee meetings and communicate safety initiatives across the organisation
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry
- Must have completed the 40-hour Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) training
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Proactive mindset and the ability to work independently to achieve safety objectives
