About the role

Myvan Holdings, Inc. is seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in our Liloan Cebu office. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and overseeing the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. This full-time role is crucial in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace for our growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Providing safety training and education to employees to promote a strong safety culture
  • Investigating and reporting on any accidents or incidents, and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborating with management to continuously improve safety practices and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety programmes and incidents

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety-related issues
  • Proficient in the use of safety-related software and technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives
  • Relevant safety certifications or qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) would be an advantage
