The Opportunity
We're looking for a sharp and driven Systems Analyst to join our dynamic software development team. In this crucial role, you are to bridge the gap between "what the business wants" and "what gets built", making sure nothing gets lost in translation. You'll work closely with stakeholders, developers, and product managers to understand requirements, define system specifications, and ensure our software aligns perfectly with user needs and business objectives.

Requirements & Clarity

• Turn vague business ideas into clear, actionable requirements
• Make sure everyone understands what "done" looks like before development starts
• Keep requirements updated when things inevitably change
• Ask the right questions to uncover hidden complexity early

Cross-Team Communication

• Be the main point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical team
• Facilitate conversations when there are conflicting needs or priorities
• Translate technical constraints back to business stakeholders in plain English
• Keep everyone aligned on scope, timeline, and trade-offs

Backlog Management

• Break down big features into smaller, deliverable pieces
• Work with PM to keep the development team fed with well-defined work
• Identify dependencies that could block development
• Help prioritize based on business value and technical feasibility

Quality & Delivery

• Define what success looks like for each feature (acceptance criteria)
• Participate in testing to ensure what's built matches what was requested
• Spot potential issues before they become problems
• Learn from what went well and what didn't for next time

Success Metrics

• Features delivered match business expectations
• Development team rarely blocked due to unclear requirements
• Stakeholders feel heard and informed throughout the process
• Minimal rework due to misunderstood requirements

Responsibilities

• Gather and Analyze Requirements: Conduct detailed interviews and workshops with stakeholders to capture, document, and analyze business requirements.
• Translate to Technical Specifications: Convert high-level business needs into clear, concise, and comprehensive functional and non-functional specifications.
• Design and Model Systems: Create process flows, data models, and wireframes to visually represent system logic and design.
• Support the Development Cycle: Work alongside developers during the build process, providing clarification and ensuring the final product meets the original requirements.
• Facilitate Testing and UAT: Develop test cases and scripts and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that solutions are working as intended.
• Maintain Documentation: Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
• Champion Best Practices: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in FinTech and system analysis to continually improve our processes.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a software development environment.
• FinTech Knowledge: A solid understanding of the FinTech industry, including financial concepts, regulations, and security protocols.
• Technical Acumen: Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum), and knowledge of .NET, Azure, AWS, and databases is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Soft Skills: A collaborative team player who is proactive, organized, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
