Data and Systems Analyst – Healthcare / EMR / CRM (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Data and Systems Analyst to support a growing healthcare and behavioral health organization. This role is responsible for auditing, extracting, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple systems to drive informed decision-making across clinical operations, admissions, and alumni services. The ideal candidate has strong analytics capability, systems knowledge, and the ability to improve reporting workflows and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Systems Management & Integration
  • Serve as the primary contact for software system updates, customization needs, and data process improvements.
  • Coordinate requests and work-order tickets with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage and optimize EMR, CRM, and other data platforms to ensure efficient data flow.
Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze data from EMR, CRM, survey systems, and post-treatment outcome platforms.
  • Develop automated and ad hoc reports to support operational, clinical, and strategic decisions.
  • Create dashboards, summaries, and visualizations to clearly communicate trends and findings.
Data Audits & Quality Assurance
  • Conduct regular chart audits to ensure completeness of trackable data such as screenings, scores, authorizations, and outcome tools.
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data across systems.
  • Coordinate with clinical, admissions, medical, and other departments to resolve data gaps.
  • Ensure integrity and consistency of reporting through validation procedures and ongoing monitoring.
Performance & Outcome Tracking

  • Track key performance indicators, including:

  • Patient screening and acuity scores

  • Authorization trends and length of stay
  • Outcome improvements from intake through post-discharge
  • Lead conversion rates and reasons for lost admissions
  • Assist departments in interpreting data, identifying patterns, inefficiencies, and operational opportunities.
  • Recommend and support automation, process enhancements, or new tools to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Core Areas of Support
  • Clinical Operations: decision support and performance monitoring
  • Admissions: lead conversion performance and workflow optimization
  • Alumni/Aftercare: long-term engagement and recovery outcomes tracking
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or similar (Master's preferred)
  • At least 5 years of data or systems analysis experience, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health
  • Proficient in Excel, dashboard/data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and EMR/CRM data reporting
  • Experience auditing clinical documentation or system-generated reports
  • Strong familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards
  • Demonstrated ability to identify data inconsistencies and coordinate corrective actions
  • Excellent communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in medical or behavioral health outcome tracking
  • Exposure to survey platforms (e.g., SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics)
  • Ability to translate data insights into meaningful recommendations
  • Knowledge of SQL or database query languages is a plus
Work Environment
  • Remote contractor role with flexible hours
  • Virtual check-ins and collaboration with leadership and departmental teams
  • Must be reliable with report deadlines and adaptable to shifting priorities
Compensation
  • Hourly or project-based contract, depending on experience
  • Performance bonuses may be awarded based on significant project outcomes
