The Position:

The
Billing Specialist
serves in a capacity to invoice all clients in a timely and accurate manner. This position should be detail-oriented, ability to follow direction, have strong computer skills and excellent organizational skills. This position is expected to complete tasks with deadlines in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail and be responsive to all client requests. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue accurate invoices for professional services rendered
  • Monitor and track billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing
  • Reconcile and analyze billing discrepancies and address client inquiries timely and professionally
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of billing activities
  • Be coachable, able to follow directions and adapt to change
  • Collaborate with finance and client service teams to enhance billing processes
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate and organized daily records with high attention to detail
  • Generate detailed financial reports to support decision-making
  • Serves as an expert and go to person for all coding and billing processes

Skills and Abilities:

  • Preferably a graduate of Accountancy or any related course
  • Minimum 3 years professional services billing experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
  • Extensive billing experience, particularly in large-scale billing operations or handling billing for major corporate clients.
  • Be familiar with or learn NetSuite accounting system and understand the billing process start to finish
  • A solid grasp of GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player and deadline oriented
  • A keen eye for detail
  • An ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
