Role Summary

As Wind Power Development Manager, you will spearhead the end-to-end development of wind energy projects—from site identification and feasibility analysis to permitting, stakeholder engagement, and project execution. You'll collaborate across technical, legal, and community domains to ensure projects are viable, compliant, and aligned with our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Origination & Feasibility

  • Identify and evaluate potential wind project sites using GIS, wind resource assessment and modeling (e.g., WAsP, WindFarmer) and land use analysis.
  • Conduct energy yield assessments and techno-economic feasibility studies ensuring bankability of the project.

Technical Development

  • Oversee and manage detailed wind measurement campaigns, including met mast installation, remote sensing (LiDAR/SODAR), and data validation and analysis.
  • Lead turbine selection and layout optimization using CFD modeling and micrositing tools.
  • Coordinate grid impact studies and interconnection applications with transmission operators and consultants.

Permitting & Compliance

  • Manage environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), ensuring alignment with national regulations and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards).
  • Secure all necessary permits, licenses, and land rights, including coordination with legal and regulatory bodies.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and technical partners.
  • Represent the company in public consultations, technical hearings, and industry forums.

Project Management & Reporting

Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and risk registers.

  • Prepare investment-grade documentation for internal approvals and external financing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy); Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in wind project development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Proficiency in wind modeling software (WAsP, WindPro, OpenWind, etc), GIS tools, and grid simulation platforms (e.g., PSSE, DIgSILENT).
  • Strong understanding of power markets, grid codes, and interconnection processes.
  • Demonstrated success in securing permits and managing multi-stakeholder environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php250, Php300,000.00 per month
