Job Summary:

The Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and direction to ensure the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This role oversees all financial management, compliance, and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and best business practices. The Finance Director partners closely with the executive team to drive sustainable growth, optimize resources, and enhance organizational performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team.
  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage cash flow, credit, and investment activities to ensure financial stability.

2. Accounting and Compliance

  • Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the organization's full adherence.
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance levels and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to address compliance-related matters.
  • Provide training and awareness programs on compliance standards.

3. Administrative and Operational Oversight

  • Streamline and optimize administrative processes to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain effective record-keeping systems.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness in procurement and operations.
  • Spearhead initiatives to create a conducive and productive work environment.

4. Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and administrative team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and long-term business strategies.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure financial discipline and operational synergy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance management.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with senior management.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
