Overview

We are seeking a high-impact, results-driven Commercial Contract Closure & Government Procurement Specialistto manage and grow our commercial and government contracting pipeline. This critical role focuses on closing high-value contracts, ensuring strict legal compliance, and driving revenue growth. Ideal candidates have expertise in construction law, government procurement, and aggressive deal closure.


Job Highlights

  • Monthly Rate: 140,000+
  • Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 hours
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST (1-hour paid break included)
  • Work Arrangement: Work from home
  • Contract: Independent Contractor
  • Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an "Independent Contractor," the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

1. Government Procurement & Strategic Partnering (High-Value Focus)

  • Serve as subject matter expert on federal and state procurement processes, ensuring compliance with all reporting and documentation standards.
  • Identify and contact strategic partners for teaming agreements and joint ventures required for government contracts.
  • Manage complex bid invitations specific to government projects.

2. Contract Creation & Risk Mitigation

  • Draft detailed and comprehensive construction contracts (subcontract agreements, change orders, scope addendums) defining scope and payment terms.
  • Analyze client-provided contracts to identify, mitigate, and negotiate unfavorable clauses, indemnification requirements, and excessive payment holdbacks.

3. Deal Negotiation and Aggressive Closure

  • Engage with clients (GCs, PMs) post-bid to negotiate final terms and secure contract awards.
  • Analyze project cost models to optimize financial outcomes while maintaining company profitability.
  • Manage follow-up for outstanding bids, overcome objections, and drive contracts to final signature.

4. Proactive Business Development

  • Leverage external bidding platforms to identify key contacts and solicit new bid invitations.
  • Network directly to build strategic relationships and target major projects.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of construction contract law with proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial construction contracts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Government Procurement, including FAR/DFARS or relevant state-level regulations.
  • Proven track record in closing high-value commercial construction deals.
  • High financial and analytical acumen to assess project viability and manage bid profitability.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction, project lifecycles, and estimating processes.
