US Payroll Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to payroll related information.
  • Coordinates and processes basic aspects of US payroll, including, but not limited to taxation, deductions, and special pay.
  • Validates various pay entries and audits as part of pay processing for each payroll cycle to determine if any abnormalities exist.
  • Reviews various audit reports to proactively identify accuracy issues and take appropriate steps according to payroll procedures to correct before processing.
  • Understanding of basic payroll terminology and payroll accounting principles.
  • Ensures compliance with US Federal, State and Local payroll regulations.
  • Ensures appropriate approval on escalatory actions, such as issuance of off cycle payments, and assists with off-cycle payment processing according to established policies and procedures.
  • Analyzes and resolves payroll issues by processing payroll tickets to a successful resolution.
  • Serves as first point of contact for associates with payroll questions. Research questions from managers, timekeepers, and/or associates related to time and pay related calculations and deductions.
  • Supports accurate payroll reporting and analysis.
  • Enters historical corrections into time and attendance system where necessary, according to established policy and procedure and within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Follow all payroll department policies and procedures as written

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years of payroll processing (required).
  • Workday payroll processing experience (preferred)
  • UKG Time and Attendance systems (preferred)
  • Compass Service Management (ServiceNow) (preferred)
  • Experienced in computer applications including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Knows how to use 10 key calculator and has basic mathematical skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables, filtering, sorting, formulas and V-lookup tables

Work Schedule:Shifting Schedule (Must be amenable to Night Shift as well)
