Job Summary

The Purchasing Staff is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, components, and services to support production and operations. This role ensures timely procurement, cost efficiency, and supplier compliance while working closely with internal departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and procure materials, components, and services based on company requirements.
  • Request, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations; negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery delays, quality issues, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and pricing information.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality control teams to meet procurement needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory control to prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous process improvement activities.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and development of new suppliers.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain is preferred (entry-level candidates are welcome).
  • Basic knowledge of procurement procedures, contracts, and purchasing documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • English proficiency for coordination with local and international suppliers.
