The Chief Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all tractor heads and trailers in the fleet. He shall ensure that all vehicles are in top working condition, conforming to safety and roadworthiness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team of mechanics: Manage daily tasks, assign work orders, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues on tractor heads and trailers
  • Ensure preventive maintenance: Create and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and increase the longevity of the vehicles
  • Conduct vehicle inspections: Regularly inspect trucks and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure safety compliance
  • Oversee repairs: Perform complex repairs and guide mechanics on more advanced repair jobs
  • Maintain inventory: Monitor and manage the inventory of parts, tools, and equipment needed for repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations: Adhere to and enforce all workplace safety regulations and procedures
  • Provide training: Train and mentor junior mechanics in best practices and safety standards
  • Coordinate with management: Work closely with the operations team to prioritize urgent repairs and maintain the overall health of the fleet
  • Prepare reports: Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections, and provide detailed reports to management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, heavy equipment, and hydraulic systems
  • Atleast 5-10 years experience as Truck Mechanic.
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in an automotive repair shop
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Willing to start ASAP
  • Willing to assigned in Marilao, Bulacan

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php900,000.00 per day
