The Driver – Truck Deliveries is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of company products to customers and distributors. This role ensures proper handling, loading, and unloading of goods, while maintaining compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company delivery trucks for transporting products to various customers, branches, and warehouses.
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring proper stacking and minimizing product damage.
- Verify delivery documents (e.g., sales invoices, delivery receipts) before departure and upon delivery.
- Obtain customer signatures and ensure proper turnover of goods upon delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned truck (brakes, tires, oil, water, lights, etc.).
- Ensure cleanliness and good running condition of the truck at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues, damages, or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Comply with all traffic rules, safety standards, and company delivery procedures.
- Assist in warehouse or logistics tasks as needed (loading, inventory support, returns, etc.).
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- At least High School graduate or equivalent.
- With a valid professional driver's license (restrictions appropriate for trucks used by the company).
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in truck driving and product delivery (preferably in FMCG or distribution industry).
- Familiarity with local delivery routes and traffic regulations.
- Physically fit, able to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and time management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work Conditions:
- Field-based role, requires frequent travel and long hours on the road.
- Exposure to different weather conditions.
- May involve overtime and extended deliveries.
