Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance Planning & Support

  • Assist in designing and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for critical machines, tools, and facility systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to carry out routine PM tasks such as inspections, lubrications, and minor repairs.
  • Help prepare PM checklists, procedures, and work instructions for different equipment types.
  • Track PM completion and follow up on missed or overdue tasks.

Time and Motion Study

  • Conduct time and motion studies on maintenance activities to identify inefficiencies, delays, and bottlenecks.
  • Analyze task workflows and recommend process improvements to reduce equipment downtime and optimize technician performance.
  • Help standardize maintenance procedures based on data-driven insights.
  • Work with supervisors to adjust PM schedules for better resource utilization and labor allocation.

Data Collection & Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data (e.g., MTTR, MTBF).
  • Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and recommend preventive actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, and Kaizen principles.
  • Document all maintenance-related improvements, findings, and metrics.

Coordination & Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure PM activities are carried out with minimal disruption.
  • Communicate clearly with technicians and engineers regarding maintenance requirements and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in daily or weekly maintenance planning meetings and contribute updates or suggestions.

Training & Development

  • Learn to use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for logging and tracking PM activities.
  • Participate in training programs for equipment, safety, and reliability practices.
  • Work under the mentorship of experienced engineers to build expertise in preventive maintenance and industrial systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of time and motion study techniques and process improvement.
  • Basic understanding of preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, and equipment lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn CMMS or other maintenance systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a technical role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams.

Working Environment:

  • Primarily on-site in an industrial or manufacturing facility.
  • May require occasional work in production areas or near operating machinery.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required in designated zones.
