Job Description:

  • Develops micro test methods and validation procedures to mitigate micro risks in all materials, bulk, and environmental conditions
  • Performs micro-sampling on all incoming raw materials, packaging materials bulk, finished goods and environmental samples
  • Performs micro-testing of component samples, identifies any contamination, conducts microbiological analysis, and initiates corrective measures.
  • Responsible for purchase requests needed for all micro laboratory processes and monitors inventory in micro lab
  • Develops and documents needed microbiology processes and prepares final reports
  • Investigates all issues related to micro and works closely with QA and Production in resolving micro quality concerns
  • Participates in QA audits and performs microbiological risk assessments as part of Change Management System
  • Identifies quality problems and obtains adequate micro data needed for critical decision-making
  • Creates Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for Micro operations
  • Notifies QA Management of any micro, quality and safety concerns
  • Provides regular status updates to QA Section Head
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by the QA Personnel Care Section Head and/or QA Manager (Flow to Work)
  • Will be directly reporting to QA Personal Care Section Head

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as Microbiologist
  • Highly skilled in microbiology techniques and methodologies and have in-depth knowledge of laboratory test requirements of the FDA for Personal Care and Home Care Products
  • Proficient in methods and practices of microbiological analysis
  • Graduate of Microbiology or Biology or related courses
