About the role

Shipco Transport (Philippines), Inc. is seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our company's accounting records and reporting. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  2. Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and other financial reports to support decision-making
  3. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal policies and procedures
  4. Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  5. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  6. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  2. Certified Public Accountant is preferred
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting manager or senior accounting role
  4. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
  5. Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and best practices
  6. Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to lead and motivate a team
  9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
