Job Title: SMT Engineering Technician

Job Summary:

The SMT Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the setup, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment and processes. This role ensures optimal machine performance, high-quality PCB assembly, and compliance with production and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and configure SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems based on production requirements.
  • Perform machine calibration, alignment, and optimization to ensure accurate component placement.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on SMT machines and related equipment.
  • Monitor process performance and assist engineers in process analysis and improvement activities.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) by creating or modifying SMT programs and verifying component libraries.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of electronic components to prevent ESD damage.
  • Collaborate with process engineers and operators to resolve production and quality issues.
  • Maintain records of machine parameters, maintenance activities, and production performance.
  • Assist in training SMT operators on standard operation and basic troubleshooting procedures.
  • Implement and sustain 5S, ESD control, and safety practices within the SMT area.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Technical/Vocational Course or Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field.
  • With at least 1–2 years of experience in SMT production or equipment maintenance.
  • Familiar with SMT machines (e.g., Yamaha, Panasonic, Fuji, Juki, Mydata, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in PCB assembly process flow, reflow profile, and quality standards (IPC-A-610).
  • Skilled in using tools and instruments for calibration, inspection, and soldering.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work in shifting schedules and under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
