Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain APIs and server-side logic using and TypeScript.
  • Build and consume RESTful services using , and contribute to scalable API design.
  • Integrate with cloud services such as Firebase (e.g., Firestore, Auth, Functions) and AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
  • Work with front-end teams to define and implement clear backend contracts and support seamless integration.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure service reliability and stability.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions, contributing to backend architecture decisions.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and deployment issues in production and staging environments.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation following industry security standards.
  • Design and manage database schemas (SQL or NoSQL) and optimize queries for performance.
  • Contribute to DevOps tasks such as CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, and cloud deployment scripting.
  • Monitor backend services using logging and observability tools (e.g., Firebase Monitoring, AWS CloudWatch, Sentry).
  • Document backend processes, API endpoints, and data flows for internal team use and cross-team collaboration.

Job Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in back-end development using and TypeScript.
  • Strong working knowledge of for building and managing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Firebase Functions, Firestore, or Realtime Database is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of modern development practices, including modular code design, version control, and automated testing.
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling and experience working with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Experience with debugging tools, performance monitoring, and error handling strategies in production-grade environments.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., Firebase Auth, JWT, OAuth).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with front-end teams, designers, and product owners to deliver robust full-stack features.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within agile teams.
  • Passion for clean code, continuous learning, and staying current with backend technologies and patterns.
