Basic Purpose/Job Summary
Responsible for handling the statutory compliance and management reporting of Viva subsidiaries/entities
Job Description
- Planning, organizing, directing, and conducting the operations of the accounting department
- Developing and implementing accounting policies in accordance with acceptable accounting standards
- Responsible for the roll-out and maximum utilization of the company's computerized accounting system (SAP)
- Reviews preparation of journal entries, reports, and schedules to ensure data accuracy of financial reports provided to Management (including the preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting schedules such as aging schedules, lapsing schedules, amortization schedules, and other balance sheet and income statement reports)
- Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of statutory and month-end management and other reports in compliance with RFRS
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly/annual forecast and annual budget
- Recommends process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processing and reporting
- Manage, train, and supervise the activities of staff, if any.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned or as may be required by the job
Job Qualifications
- With a bachelor's degree, major in Accountancy
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Must have 6 years of relevant work experience with full knowledge of general accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, taxation, and budgeting
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications and SAP
- Must be highly organized with keen attention to details
- With strong interpersonal skills, cutting across all levels of an organization
- Must have a good command of the English language and be able to communicate well, both in oral and written forms
- Self-starter, results-oriented, and hardworking
- Must be willing to work in Ortigas Center, Pasig City
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 7:30 pm (On-Site)
