Job Description – QA/QC Engineer

The QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction materials, workmanship, and procedures meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards. This role involves preparing quality documents, conducting inspections, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with established quality programs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and standards to establish quality requirements.
  • Conduct material inspections, testing, and verification to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Perform site inspections and audits of ongoing works to confirm adherence to approved procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test results, and quality-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with relevant quality documentation.
  • Train site teams on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors regarding quality matters.
  • Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment and tools.
  • Participate in regular project meetings to report quality performance and improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, or Material Engineering Graduate.
  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, QA/QC processes, and relevant codes (ASTM, ACI, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management and quality software/tools is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus.
