We're Hiring: R&D Specialist (Food Industry)

Role Overview

As an R&D Specialist, you will play a key role in developing new food concepts, improving existing recipes, and ensuring product quality that meets customer expectations. This position requires creativity, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of food science and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop new food products, recipes, and processes.
  • Improve and optimize existing products for quality, taste, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify food trends and customer preferences.
  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to bring concepts to life.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports, product specifications, and documentation for new developments.

Skils

  • Able to operate basic food laboratory equipment
  • Food preparation/Cooking/baking skills
  • Knowledge in product and packaging development, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life testing.
  • Knowledge in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) documentation.
  • Creative, well-organized, and good with time management.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to details.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good in problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Proficient to MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Experience in food product development or R&D in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, and industry regulations.
  • Creative mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
