SPED Teacher Aide

Job Summary:
The SPED Teacher Aide supports the academic, behavioral, and personal development of students with special needs under the supervision of a special education teacher. This role plays a key part in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment by assisting with instruction, classroom management, and individualized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning objectives set by the teacher.
- Assist students in actively participating in classroom and school activities.
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction.
- Monitor, document, and report student progress and behavior to the supervising teacher.
- Provide personal care and mobility support to students as needed.
- Support positive behavior using appropriate behavior management strategies.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment.
- Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and family information.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
- Foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that promotes student growth.
- Perform relevant academic tasks duly required by the management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field with units in SPED Education.
- License is an advantage but not required.
- Relevant experience working with children with special needs is an advantage but not required.
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Patient, compassionate, and committed to student success.
- Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
