Job Summary:

The SPED Teacher Aide supports the academic, behavioral, and personal development of students with special needs under the supervision of a special education teacher. This role plays a key part in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment by assisting with instruction, classroom management, and individualized care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning objectives set by the teacher.
  • Assist students in actively participating in classroom and school activities.
  • Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction.
  • Monitor, document, and report student progress and behavior to the supervising teacher.
  • Provide personal care and mobility support to students as needed.
  • Support positive behavior using appropriate behavior management strategies.
  • Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroom environment.
  • Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records and family information.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that promotes student growth.
  • Perform relevant academic tasks duly required by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field with units in SPED Education.
  • License is an advantage but not required.
  • Relevant experience working with children with special needs is an advantage but not required.
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, and committed to student success.
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and work as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
