Key Responsibilities:

Classroom-Based Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and support to children with various learning needs.
  • Ensure student safety and welfare at all times.
  • Manage student behavior and promote self-esteem, independence, and discipline.
  • Maintain accurate session-based attendance records.
  • Treat all students equitably and respectfully.
  • Prepare instructional materials such as lesson plans, visual aids, classroom decorations, and learning tools.
  • Report issues or concerns to administrative authorities promptly.
  • Craft and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and progress reports.
  • Create and maintain a learning-conducive classroom environment.
  • Organize and participate in center events and activities.

Home-Based / Remote Tasks (During Class Suspensions due to Natural Disasters):

  • Assist with marketing efforts (e.g., share social media content, distribute brochures).
  • Create/edit visual content using Canva for IG and FB stories.
  • Edit short promotional videos (15 seconds minimum) for center programs.
  • Develop learning materials; print and laminate as needed.
  • Conduct research on trending educational resources.
  • Assist in center beautification and organization.
  • Run errands, including purchasing materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Elementary Education major in Special Education
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Psychology
  • or any related field
  • Strong planning and teaching skills tailored to different learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Knowledge of teaching psychology, styles, and strategies for SPED.
  • Proficiency in public speaking, organization, and time management.
  • Strong leadership and patience with children of varying ages and needs.
  • Basic graphic and video editing skills (Canva, social media content).

Top Priorities & Expectations:

  • Pay close attention to individual students' needs.
  • Create a nurturing and secure environment.
  • Stay up to date with trends in SPED and healthcare education.
  • Submit all daily outlines and reports on or before 9:00 PM.
  • Confirm your schedules and logout via biometrics and GC before 9:00 PM.
  • Immediately report incidents to admin staff.
  • Keep student files updated and communications in group chats timely.

Other Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in lesson planning and material preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the center.
  • Greet and assist parents/visitors during visits.
  • Help in marketing and client acquisition efforts.
