What you'll be doing

  • Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive safety programs and policies to protect workers on construction sites
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Provide training and guidance to construction personnel on safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment, and emergency response procedures
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and industry standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors and other stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to safety activities and performance
  • Continuously seek ways to enhance safety procedures and recommend improvements

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations applicable to construction projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety concerns efficiently
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits
  • Ability to provide comprehensive safety training and promote a positive safety culture
  • Certification in occupational health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH, is highly desirable

About us

Calooy Construction is a family-owned business that is based in the Philippines. Our company is recognized and registered with the Philippine Contractor's Accreditation (PCAB), DPWH accredited, and a PhilGeps Platinum member since 2014 but have been dealing with various government agencies for the past 35 years in the field of publishing and 11 years in infrastructure.

Our office warehouse and registered headquarter is in Marikina City while our another office is in Quezon City, both are operational. The categories of work that Calooy Construction undertake are schools, multipurpose halls, public facilities, offices, public buildings, private houses, retail units: civil works, refurbishments and infrastructure projects.

For the past 11 years, we have successfully completed eighteen (18) projects and currently have four (4) on going. Our clients are Philippine Normal University and various clients from Department of Public Works and Highways, Maynilad Water Services, Inc., Caloocan City(Barangay), Presidential Commission on Good Government, City Government of Marikina, San Mateo (Barangay), Rizal., DPWH, NCR., Litton and Company Incorporated, University Mall.
