Business Technology Consultant Roles and Responsibilities:
- Act as a Scrum Master and promote collaboration within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with Agile software development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
- Assist in data analysis, reporting, and business process design.
- Conduct research and analysis of client's business applications and its processes, operations, and industry trends to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop recommendations for optimizing business applications and processes to achieve client's business goals.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients in optimizing their business applications and processes.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Create project documents such as Scope of Work, Release Notes, Minutes of Meeting, User Guide, and Sign-off documents.
- Gather requirements and provide recommendations to clients on their business applications and processes.
- Drive the requirements gathering process and articulate use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with clients, developers, and managerial staff.
- Stay up to date with the latest IT advancement and processes.
- Gather, review, and analyze technical requirements.
- Familiarity with standard software development methods, processes, and SDLC.
- Grasp new concepts and technologies quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements for the development team.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or Business Users and Software Developers to provide solutions which further enhance the applications and provide the business user with an improved experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as business presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with JIRA Agile a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team.
- Evaluating business processes, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Create direct channels of communication to software and application developers that get the job done without managerial interjection.
- Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
- Maintain an outstanding relationship with customers and industry partners as well as the development team.
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users.
- Provide emergency support for critical priority issues and other business critical situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Promote a high level of collaboration and teamwork with the project team and other business unit teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Working as part of an Agile Development Team conducting and effectively participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team.
