Chemical Laboratory Specialist I

Greystone Laboratories, Inc. is in need of the following:

  1. Conducts analyses of food, water and environmental samples
  2. Ensures accuracy of results through quality control checks during analysis
  3. Responsible for proper use and maintenance of test equipment/instruments.
  4. Prepares accurate worksheets for incoming job applications in accordance with company systems and procedures.
  5. Ensures availability of chemicals, laboratory materials and supplies needed are readily available.
  6. Prepares reagent solutions used for analyses.
  7. Responsible for waste management of the chem laboratory
  8. Performs method validation/verification and prepares measurement uncertainty budget
  9. Performs periodic checking of equipment performance and calibration and makes necessary inventory to ensure availability of parts and supplies
  10. Submits monthly inventories of glassware, equipment, reagents, chemicals and other consumables
  11. Signatory of chemical test reports
  12. Coordinates and communicates with the different government regulatory agencies for the implementation of its regulations pertaining to the operations and compliance of the laboratory

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience*:

  • Graduate of B.S. Chemistry, B.S. Biochemistry
  • At least 3 years experience in food, water and environmental laboratory
  • Has knowledge in QA/QC systems and corresponding principles of PNS ISO/IEC 17025:2017
  • Goal oriented, highly analytical, keen on details, decisive, trainable
  • Willing to work overtime or on shifting schedule

Required Certifications or Special Skills*:

  • Licensed Chemist  (PRC)

  • Chemical Laboratory Supervisor
