Web Development Virtual Assistant (VA)

Remote | Full-Time | Contract | $5–6/hr

We're looking for a Web Development Virtual Assistant to help design, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performing websites. This role combines creative web design with strong technical skills in hosting, DNS, and automation integrations.


Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Management

  • Build, update, and maintain responsive websites (Webflow, Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace).
  • Customize templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Manage plugins, page speed, and e-commerce customization.
  • Create and test landing pages for marketing campaigns.

Technical & Hosting Support

  • Configure domains, DNS, and SSL certificates (GoDaddy, Cloudflare).
  • Troubleshoot hosting and DNS issues with precision.
  • Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for email security.
  • Handle migrations, backups, and restorations.

Design & UX/UI

  • Create mockups and layouts using Figma or Canva.
  • Ensure cohesive branding and responsive design.
  • Optimize content and images for conversion and performance.

Integrations & Analytics

  • Implement Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and Search Console.
  • Connect CRM and automation tools (HubSpot, Zapier, ConvertKit, etc.).
  • Manage event tracking, lead forms, and funnel analytics.

Website Security & Optimization

  • Maintain site security through updates and vulnerability checks.
  • Use caching and CDNs to improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Webflow, Shopify, WordPress, and Squarespace.
  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and basic PHP.
  • Experience managing DNS, SSL, and email authentication.
  • Skilled in SEO, responsive design, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiar with React, , or
  • Experience with HubSpot CMS, Ghost, or advanced hosting setups.
  • Knowledge of CDN, caching, and site performance auditing.
