I. Job Summary
The Head of Transformation leads the strategic development and implementation of internal software applications and process automation to improve organizational efficiency, scalability, and innovation. This role ensures transformation initiatives align with business objectives, drive operational excellence, and adhere to quality and security standards. The Head of Transformation fosters innovation, promotes cross-department collaboration, and guides a team of technical experts to deliver sustainable business value through digital solutions.
II. Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Transformation Planning
- Define and oversee the software development roadmap for internal applications and automation tools.
- Ensure all initiatives align with evolving business priorities and organizational goals.
Metrics: - Roadmap completion rate vs. target timeline
- Percentage of initiatives aligned with strategic priorities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Metrics: - Number of professional development initiatives completed
- Supervise the design, development, and deployment of internal applications and automation solutions.
- Oversee system integration and ensure optimal usability for internal stakeholders.
Metrics: - Percentage of applications delivered on time
- Number of internal process hours saved through automation
- Establish and enforce QA standards, testing procedures, and security protocols.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and protection of internal systems.
Metrics: - Number of security incidents or breaches
- Conduct research and feasibility studies on emerging technologies.
- Identify and pilot new tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency.
Metrics: - Number of new technologies assessed annually
- Percentage of pilot projects successfully implemented
- Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and other departments to tailor automation solutions.
- Ensure systems enhance workflow and promote cross-department integration.
Metrics: - Number of collaborative projects delivered
- Percentage of solutions integrated across departments
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure delivery within scope.
- Oversee project prioritization and allocation based on business impact.
Metrics: - Project completion rate within time and budget
- Resource utilization efficiency
- Ensure all initiatives comply with data security protocols and organizational policies.
- Maintain regulatory adherence and manage technology-related risks.
Metrics: - Compliance audit pass rate
- Number of data security breaches
- Timeliness of compliance reporting
III. HSE Accountabilities and Job Authority
- Support the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs and initiatives.
- Ensure all decisions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by immediate superior.
IV. Physical and Mental Demands
Physical Effort:
- Primarily sedentary work involving sitting, typing, and short walking intervals.
- Must have clear vision and hearing (with or without correction).
Mental Effort:
- High cognitive demand involving strategic planning, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
- Requires the ability to work long hours or irregular schedules, including weekends or holidays when necessary.
V. Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment using standard office equipment (computers, phones, software). The role involves regular communication and collaboration with multiple departments. Occasional travel may be required for meetings or project oversight.
VI. Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is an advantage but not required.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on automation, systems integration, and transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in leading digital transformation projects and managing technical teams.
