The Maintenance Staff member is a multi-skilled technician responsible for the general upkeep, routine maintenance, and repair of all facilities, utilities, and equipment across both the chocolate production area and Auro Café retail locations. This role ensures the company's assets remain operational, safe, and compliant with food safety (GMP) and structural standards.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment and Systems Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) and calibration for various assets, including production machinery, café equipment (e.g., espresso machines, ovens, display chillers), and utility systems (e.g., compressors, chillers, HVAC, water heaters).
  • Perform prompt Corrective Maintenance (CM) and troubleshooting for mechanical, basic electrical, plumbing, and general facility issues.
  • Conduct basic repairs and replacements of mechanical components, piping, motors, pumps, and light electrical fixtures.
  • Assist specialized technicians (e.g., Maintenance Electricians or Mechanical Engineers) on complex repair jobs and installations.

Facilities and Civil Works

  • Perform routine civil works and carpentry, including painting, wall patching, minor masonry, and furniture repair, ensuring high aesthetic standards for the cafes and retail spaces.
  • Inspect and maintain the overall building infrastructure, including roofs, flooring, doors, windows, and drainage systems.
  • Ensure all work areas are safe, clean, and comply with safety and housekeeping standards.

Documentation, Safety, and Inventory

  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, parts consumed, and equipment condition reports.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is properly used.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables, ensuring proper storage and immediate availability.
  • Support the implementation of food safety and hygiene protocols (GMP) within the maintenance function, particularly regarding equipment integrity and sanitation.
