Data Research Specialist I

The Data Research Specialist is primarily responsible for updating the LNUK database through web scraping organizations under the Legal, Tax, Government and Academic sectors. He/she must ensure the integrity of data being verified and/or updated using only the valid sources on the internet and must be compliant to UK GDPR. The number of records to be fulfilled must be met according to the set target by the Business Unit.

Accountabilities:

  • Develops and maintains customer information database (usually specific data marts) to support analysis, application development and data driven marketing techniques
  • Manages information security, data protection, data quality and exchange
  • Liaises with the IT and other data management functions as required both internally and externally
  • Responsible for entering and verifying contact information through manual processes.
  • Perform web searches to critically validate detailed law firm, corporate, academic tax, bar and government data and make corrections into database as and when necessary.
  • Validate/acquire data from external data sources (Via Web)
  • Compliance with data cleansing guidelines.
  • Ensuring highest data quality and error free delivery of data.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Holder
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives
  • Experience with MS Excel
  • Good Communication skills
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to approach a problem by using logical, systematic, sequential approach
  • Judgment & Acumen: Ability to perform with insight, acuteness & intelligence in the industry. Make decisions & act in situations in which there is not enough information to be certain of the outcome/implication of the decision
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations, ability to objectively evaluate situations & understand variety of viewpoints
  • Planning & Organizing: Ability to anticipate the implications & consequences of situations & to take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies
