I. Job Summary
In this role, you will use state-of-the-art medical imaging equipment to capture detailed images of tissues, organs, bones, and blood vessels, providing critical information for diagnosis and treatment. With advanced training, you'll also have the opportunity to assist in the administration of radiation therapy treatments, playing a pivotal role in patient care.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
A. Specific Role
- Perform the following procedures: Ultrasound, X-ray, APE Mobile X-ray, Fibroscan, Mammography, and CT scan.
- Prepare supplies and materials needed for procedures (e.g., CT Scan Contrast, Ultrasound Gel, tissue, medications, etc.) and orient patients regarding the examination.
- Conduct patient interviews to gather medical history.
- Ensure consent forms are completely filled out and signed by patients.
- Review the physician's request form before proceeding with any examination.
- Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images.
- Monitor patients to ensure safety during imaging procedures.
- Ensure and monitor equipment calibration (PMS) to maintain machine usability and image quality. This includes proper sterilization, equipment storage, and timely reporting of any malfunctions.
- Check for availability of previous results or secure outside films for comparison.
- Log and organize image results, develop films, prepare envelopes, update case numbers in CIMS, coordinate with Radiologists for interpretation, and confirm if additional images are required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiology practices.
- Monitor and manage supply inventory.
- Perform quality control and validation (in CIMS) of all results before release.
- Sort and release results for Pick-Up, Send-Out, or via Email.
- Forward sorted results to the Releasing Department and send emails upon patient request.
- Prepare requirements for DOH inspection and compliance.
B. General Duties
- Fulfill the company's set KPIs.
- Ensure completeness of reports and deliverables assigned.
- Follow operational safety and health regulations.
- Adhere to the Data Privacy Act.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks.
- Comply with company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area at all times.
III. Required Skills and Competencies
A. Experience and Expertise
- Filipino citizen and resident of the Philippines.
- Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist
- Experience in performing Ultrasound, X-ray, CT Scan, Mammography, and/or Fibroscan is an advantage.
