Job Description

Be part of our client's team as an Underwriting Manager, overseeing a group of skilled Non-QM underwriters responsible for evaluating loan files with accuracy, consistency, and compliance. You will serve as a decision authority, resolve escalations, and ensure smooth coordination between underwriting, operations, and sales. Your leadership strengthens risk management integrity and contributes directly to the quality and efficiency of U.S. mortgage pipelines.

The Qualifications We Seek

• At least 4 years of Non-QM underwriting experience
• At least 2 years of experience with Encompass
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide teams toward performance goals
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments

Your Daily Tasks

• Lead a team of Non-QM underwriters.
• Ensure loan files meet product and compliance guidelines.
• Collaborate with operations and sales for smooth pipeline flow.
• Provide guidance on complex scenarios and handle escalations.
