Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in farm operations, quality assurance, or agricultural auditing, preferably in banana or plantation crops.
  • Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), food safety standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of crop management, pest and disease control, and farm sustainability practices.
  • Proficiency in report writing, data analysis, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify non-compliance or areas for improvement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with farm supervisors, workers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to varying environmental and farm conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct audits across multiple farm sites as required.

Field Auditing & Compliance Monitoring

  • Conduct regular audits of field operations (land preparation, planting, fertilization, pest management, irrigation, and harvesting).
  • Assess compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), GlobalG.A.P., and other applicable certifications.
  • Monitor implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards within field operations.
  • Verify proper use and storage of agrochemicals, fertilizers, and field equipment.

Quality Assurance & Data Collection

  • Inspect fruit quality in different growth stages (pre-harvest and post-harvest).
  • Check for pest and disease management effectiveness and report infestations or issues.
  • Collect field data on productivity, inputs, and practices for reporting and analysis.
  • Validate accuracy of field records and operational reports submitted by farm personnel.

Reporting & Recommendations

  • Prepare and submit detailed audit reports highlighting non-conformities, risks, and best practices.
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve compliance and productivity.
  • Follow up on action plans to ensure timely implementation of audit findings.
