The Senior Developer leads the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software solutions that meet both technical and business requirements. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, mentors junior developers, and ensures the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable applications. The Senior Developer also participates in architectural planning, adopts emerging technologies, and drives best practices in software engineering to support organizational growth and innovation.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality software applications.
  • Review and refine application architectures to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, quality guidelines, and best practices.
  • Implement secure coding techniques and ensure compliance with data protection standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as QA, UI/UX, and DevOps to align on requirements, testing, and deployment.
  • Optimize existing applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks for system improvements.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management or the department head, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to organizational changes.

Technical and Behavioral Skills

  • Strong proficiency in core programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and/or back-end frameworks (Spring Boot, .NET, ).
  • Skilled in database design and optimization for both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks or projects.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead developer position.
