Job Overview:

The
Accounting Officer
shall perform daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, manage month-end processes, and support compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and addressing audit inquiries.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff members
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and support overall business goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
