Sales Admin Senior Officer

A Sales Admin Senior Officer is a leadership role that bridges sales operations/administration and management functions. They ensure the sales process runs smoothly behind the scenes, supporting the sales people so they can focus on selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the sales admin team, ensuring good performance, delegation, and balance of workload.
- Handles order processing & tracking (from order receipt, documentation, to delivery). Ensures orders are accurate, on-time, and compliant.
- Coordinates with other functions (HR, Finance, Operations, Marketing) especially on things like incentives/payouts, contracts, compliance, documentation, inventory or sales collateral.
- Monitors sales team performance via reports, dashboards, metrics; tracks trends and flags issues.
- Ensures administrative processes are audit ready, compliant with company policy or local regulation.
- Improves processes: finds inefficiencies in sales admin workflows and implements improvements.
- Manages customer-facing admin tasks: handling order-related queries/discrepancies, ensuring good customer documentation, sometimes coordinating with logistics and supply chain.
Skills Needed
- Strong organizational & time‑management skills. Must juggle many tasks and priorities.
- Attention to detail: order accuracy, documentation, reports, ensuring no mistakes.
- Analytical ability: to read reports, spot trends, measure performance, perhaps forecasting.
- Leadership & people‑management: to lead a team, coach, assign work, evaluate performance.
- Communication skills: both across teams (Sales, Finance, HR, Operations) and customer‑oriented where needed.
- Process improvement mindset: looking for ways to make sales operations more efficient.
Qualifications
- Several years (often 3‑5, or more) of experience in sales admin, sales operations, or a related support/admin function.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in sales admin tasks in the FMCG industry
