Position Title: Analyst – General Accounting

Department: Finance Shared Services – Record to Insight (General Accounting)

Reporting To: Asst Manager -  General Accounting

Position Summary

The Accounting Analyst will support the General Accounting tower, focusing on journal entry preparation, analysis, and month-end closing activities across Cash & Intercompany for APAC, EMEA, and NAMER regions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, analytical capability, and initiative to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for assigned area
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to meet deadlines.
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and Accounting Standards
• Investigate and analyze unusual entries or variances; propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and system enhancements.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA license (preferred but not required)

Experience:

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (shared services, General Accounting, or audit background preferred).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and journal entry processes.
• Experience in cash and intercompany, accruals, fixed assets, and prepayment.
• Global exposure – handling different currencies
• Handles Volume journal entries

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in all MS application; experience with Workday system is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Initiative-driven, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Adaptable to shifting priorities during peak closing periods.
