Job Description:

  • Conduct one-on-one or group English classes for Japanese professionals.
  • Customize lessons based on the learner's level, profession, and goals (e.g., business, travel, communication).
  • Use Japanese when needed to explain complex grammar, vocabulary, or concepts.
  • Prepare lesson plans and materials tailored to adult learners. Teach practical English for business meetings, phone calls, emails, presentations, etc.
  • Provide corrections, feedback, and regular progress reports.
  • Maintain professional communication with learners and coordinators.
  • Be culturally sensitive and respectful of Japanese communication styles and learning preferences.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Education, Communication, or any related field.
  • Conversational to fluent Japanese skills (JLPT N3 or better is ideal).
  • Experience teaching English to Japanese adults or professionals.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills

  • Knowledge of business etiquette and corporate communication (English & Japanese).

  • Familiarity with Japanese culture and professional norms.
  • Experience in online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Skype)
