GlassPro Solutions & Services Inc. is looking for a Technical Coordinator with strong AutoCAD skills to support our operations through accurate technical drawings and documentation. The role is CAD-heavy, and coordination tasks will only be required when not occupied with technical drafting work.

We need someone experienced, independent, and no longer needs training in CAD.

Job Summary

The Technical Coordinator is responsible for preparing detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for glass, aluminum, and architectural projects. The role also provides light project coordination support when CAD workload allows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, revise, and finalize AutoCAD drawings: shop drawings, elevation plans, sections, details, and revisions.
  • Interpret architectural and structural plans accurately for glass and aluminum works.
  • Generate cutting lists, take-offs, and technical measurements from drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings follow company standards and client specifications.
  • Maintain organized CAD files, drawing logs, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with fabricators and installers regarding drawing clarifications.
  • Provide technical support to Operations for measurements and site concerns.

Secondary Responsibilities (when not busy with CAD):

  • Assist in basic project coordination such as tracking schedules, updating statuses, or communicating minor updates.
  • Help prepare simple reports, documentation, or paperwork related to projects.
  • Liaise with clients for drawing clarifications or document submissions.
  • Support timekeeping or report generation only when required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D is a plus).
  • Preferably with experience in glass, aluminum, architecture, or construction drafting.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings with high accuracy.
  • Can work independently and manage multiple drawing tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • At least 1 year of relevant drafting experience (or equivalent skill level).
