PRIMARY ROLE AND PURPOSE

The Procurement Associate is responsible for the purchase of processing various procurement needs of all AUTVC units and provides assistance for the Procurement Supervisor in implementing procurement policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Graduate of BSBA or Engineering

Graduate Studies : N/A

Licensure Examinations : N/A

General Skills :

o Knowledgeable in MS Offices

o Team player

o Good negotiation skills

o Background in procurement is an advantage

o Strong communication skills

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Receive request and ensure quality of materials by coordinating with the respective plants and departments
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure payment terms
  • Research and evaluate prospect suppliers
  • Track and monitor the items requested by each plant and department
  • Coordinate with the accounting department for proper coding and costing of all assets purchased
  • Review of purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate timely purchase of items
  • Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors to expand network
  • Build and maintain professional long-term relationship with vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain detailed purchase order files and status of requests
  • Submit Purchase Monitoring Report on a weekly and monthly basis to the Procurement Assistant Manager
  • Other tasks that may be assigned
