About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator to join our cybersecurity and incident response team - (The hiring company is a sister concern of DL Public Relations (DLPR).The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital forensics, intrusion analysis, and evidence management, with the ability to handle complex cyber incidents and support legal proceedings when needed.


Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Forensics (Host & Network Forensics)

  • Conduct technical forensics on system intrusions, data breaches, and anomalous activity.
  • Acquire and image hosts, servers, and workstations; extract logs and preserve evidence.
  • Analyze critical data within Windows and Linux systems (file systems, registry, system events, processes, etc.).

2. Intrusion Investigation

  • Identify attack entry points, lateral movement, persistence techniques, and attacker toolchains.
  • Analyze network traffic, system logs, and malicious samples to reconstruct attack paths and incident timelines.

3. Evidence Management & Compliance

  • Maintain full chain-of-custody integrity in line with legal standards.
  • Support legal proceedings and prepare forensic reports suitable for court presentation.

4. Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Produce clear forensic and security incident reports with technical conclusions.
  • Improve internal investigation SOPs, imaging processes, and evidence handling standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proficiency with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Autopsy, and similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Windows & Linux system architecture and file systems (NTFS, FAT, EXT, etc.).
  • Knowledge of network forensics (TCP/IP fundamentals, protocol analysis, traffic inspection).
  • Experience in log analysis, timeline reconstruction, and data recovery.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital forensics or intrusion investigations.
  • Experience handling real-world intrusion cases (highly preferred).

Preferred Certifications
  • CHFI, CEH, GCIH, GCFE, OSCP, or similar credentials.
